The U.S. Patent Office has published PlasmERG's "Plasmic Transition Process Motor" patent application that details the game changing Noble Gas Engine that is now being readied for production in Henderson, Nevada. Consuming little fuel and producing massive power, this engine holds the potential to revolutionize the energy landscape.

This year is turning out to be more exciting than anyone could have predicted. Multiple alternative energy technologies are emerging, and any one of them could potentially revolutionize energy production. However, one technology in particular is racing towards commercialization, and could be the first exotic energy source to reach the finish line. The company's name is PlasmERG and the technology is called the, "Plasmic Transition Process."

PlasmERG is about to launch an engine using the "Plasmic Transition Process" technology. It is about to go into production in Hendersen, Nevada. A factory is being setup to manufacture the control electronics, while local partners will fabricate the engine parts for five prototype motors. These prototype motors will demonstrate to stockholders, investors, and potential licensees what PlasmERG has so far only been able to produce in house (for security reasons). These prototype engines can then be mass produced by those companies who purchase a license to manufacture them.

A patent application detailing the process has also been posted by the U.S. Patent Office. It details how the technology works, and can be found US 2011/0113772 Al ( pdf ). The patent has not yet been granted, but the posting of the patent application does four things.

If you have read about Joseph Papp's "Noble Gas Engine" or "Papp Engine", then you already have a basic understanding of PlasmERG's technology. Joseph Papp was a Hungarian native who emigrated to the United States in 1968. Soon afterwards, he retrofitted an an internal combustion engine to operate using small quantities of Noble Gases. The operation of the engine was simple. A charge of noble gases including helium, neon, argon, krypton, and xenon was placed in the sealed and air tight cylinders of the engine.

A charge of noble gases could last months, and a small fraction of the mechanical output could turn an alternator to keep the batteries (that powered the electrical components) charged. The story of Papp's efforts and the history of the engine are very

The Main Components of a Car's Alternator | How2Day

The alternator in a vehicle operates like a miniature power station. Internal components spin with the engine generating electricity, which the alternator regulates and disperses through the engine. The alternator mainly serves to keep your vehicle running. Though not recommended, you can run a vehicle solely off the alternator---without a battery---once you have started it.

The alternator operates by producing a magnetic field to generate electricity. It has a case made of aluminum, a non-magnetic metal, to house the electrical current and magnetic field. The rotor, characterized by the fan and pulley on the exterior of the alternator, connects to the inner parts of the device. The pulley connects to the fan belt, which provides the rotation to spin the rotor. Some alternators house a cooling fan on the exterior, while others place the cooling fan on the interior. The fan cools the core elements to keep the device from seizing.

The rotor mostly comprises sections of iron wrapped in copper wire, which spins with the engine's rotation. The stator, also a mixture of iron and copper wire, surrounds the iron core, where it produces electricity through the magnetic friction. The alternating current (AC) electricity generated here travels through diodes that convert the AC to direct current (DC). The system produces about 13 to 15 volts to recharge the battery and power the engine. Carbon brushes attached to the case and slip rings attached to the rear of the rotor contribute to the magnetic field.

The regulator, an external component of the alternator and a component of the whole charging system, controls the rate of charge released from the alternator and accommodates for seasonal temperature changes. Newer models are adjustable to allow for add-on equipment. The alternator houses a voltage limiter that bleeds off excessive current to limit the amount of DC current flowing through the engine. The field relay governs the closing voltage. Both are adjustable to increase or decrease the current in the vehicle.
