Open Motorcycle Class heat1

At the drop of the green flag signifying the start #59 Caleb Barretto on his red Cycles Plus Honda launched himself ahead of the rest of the field leading the pack into the first turn of the course. After the first lap of a 20 minute plus one lap heat Barretto had managed to pull away slightly. Running in second was #7 Jonathan Lizama aboard a Cycles Plus Kawasaki with Yamaha mounted #78 Anthony Ignacio in third. Charging up from a bad start was #11 Michael Limtiaco on his Pacific Trucking Supported Kawasaki and #33 Triple J supported Honda rider Jake Jones. The two fought they’re way up and through the field towards the front with Jones managing to move into the fourth place position behind Ignacio. Limtiaco on the other hand got tangled up with another rider and went down for a soil sampling. Limtiaco was able to remount after eating a bit of Guam’s delicious red dirt and continue. At the end of the first of two scheduled Open Motorcycle Class heats it was Barretto taking first followed by Lizama, Ignacio, Jones and #5 Shawn Aguilo taking the top five finishes respectively.

Heat2

At the start of heat two it was once more the #59 of Caleb Barretto grabbing the lead but this time with a better start he had the #11 Michael Limtiaco hot on his rear wheel. After lap one it was still Barretto then Limtiaco followed by the #7 machine of Jonathan Lizama, the #33 of Jones and the rookie #78 Anthony Ignacio aboard his Yamaha out front battling for a podium position. Up front Limtiaco was keeping the pressure on Barretto for the lead that and the perhaps the fact it was a really hot and humid day was to much for Barretto as the former champion Limtiaco slid past to take the lead. At the checkers of heat two it was Limtiaco taking first, Barretto second followed by Lizama, Ignacio then Jones rounding out the top five respectively. Barretto still earned the overall round 7 win with his 1 in his heats. Rookie star Anthony Ignacio who was racing in two classes on this day took fourth overall with #33 Jake Jones taking fifth overall.

Oury's are cheeeeep. And they are like a blob of bubble gum on your bars. they are thicker and jelly'er. They are super comfy and despite their softness, hold up to ALOT of punishment. There were guys in my camp shredding grips, gloves and blistering their hands at the last WORCS round and those people were running niether OURY's or Pillow Tops. Me and 2 others run oury's exclusively and our hands, grips, and gloves were close to like new after the race. And thats a solid HOUR long moto. I don't have any personal experience with ProTaper Pillow Tops, but from the response on here from quality members, I can only deduce that they are pretty good grips. I don't know how much they are tho. OURY's are about $10 for the standard ones and under $25 for the OURY Lock on's. BTW, the lock on part of the OURY's are ODI's. So its just like and ODI with OURY compounds.
