McGeary has been writing and performing songs since the 1980s, touring with Billy Idol, The Cure, and most recently opening for The Black Crowes, David Ball and Confederate Railroad. On July 6, he got a publishing deal with Wynonna Judds company in Nashville as a songwriter. His songs have been featured on TV shows such as Smallville and One Tree Hill and in movies In Mysterious Ways and The Knowers.
